BEAR CREEK PRESERVE, 18602

13 miles. Meet at 9:00 a.m. in parking lot at 47 Rabbit Run Lane, Wilkes Barre Township, PA 18602 (41.182512, -75.703929). A moderate hike with varied terrain, two waterfall views, several bridge crossings, and a scenic trail along Shades Creek. There is no significant elevation gain. Be alert to the possibility of black bears and rattlesnakes that call this preserve home. Face mask is optional. RSVP required at https://www.meetup.com/Batona-Hiking-Club/ or by contacting leader. BATONA Hiking Club is more than a Meetup group. In existence since 1928, the Club welcomes a diverse group of people. Hike trails in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey.
