Throwback Thursday Talk & Walk: Smartphones - good or bad?

Details
WHAT WE'LL BE DOING
Since it's (throwback) Thursday, let's talk about a throwback - life before smartphones were ubiquitous. We'll talk about how things were before everyone had a computer in their pocket, and whether the advances in technology have made life easier or harder - are smartphones responsible for making life better or worse?
To add some spice, we can also discuss how we can change smartphones to _______________ (fill in the blank and discuss it with the group).
We can sit around the picnic tables or talk about this while we walk around - we'll decide based on the weather and group opinion.
