Girl Scouts is said to have an annual tradition of bridging, more a ritual of rank promotion. And because of Covid, that practice has been stopped for a few years, so we have a lot of scouts that haven't gone through this ceremony yet.
And Girl Scouts has a policy that you cannot be both a volunteer and also attend the bridging as a participant. So a lot of would be volunteers would be attending the bridging this year, now girl scouts is facing a gap of 100+ volunteers to help with this bridging event.
The event involves girls scouts and their families from across the country, several thousands strong. They will walk over the golden gate bridge from the northern side, and earn their patches in some ceremony, and celebrate a bit, at Crissy Field.
The roles you need to play include:
First Aider (Adults Only)
Maintenance (Open to All)
Care Team (Adults Only)

Staging Location Assistant (Adults Only)

Crissy Field Assistant (Open to All)
Retail (Adults Only)
Event Route Assistant (Open to All)
Information Booth (Adults Only)
Bothin Hostel (Adults Only)
Lead Assistant (12th grade Girl Scouts only)
Supplies (Open to All)
Highest Awards Volunteer (Adults Only)

It will be a pleasant day to work beside the bridge, in a national land mark area, or if you want to get involved with Girl Scouts Northern California. Lunch is provided. Girl Scouts staff may also help hosting an after event coffee social afterwards by the golden gate bridge cafe.
