Topic: “Eating the Other: Desire and Resistance” by bell hooks

This is a popular essay (at least in my circles) pulled from bell hooks’ Black Looks: Race and Representation.

The chapter itself is free to read online (I’ll see if I can find a good link later) and in my opinion, really pertinent today.

Let’s give it a read together and chat about it after.

Side note: I haven’t fully read it but believe it’s about 15 pages, so should take about 30 minutes to read.
