Park calisthenics II
Details
If you went to the last event, this will be more like the second half and less like the first half. We'll do more exercises this time and add plyos, and if you're up for it we can combine them into supersets, which means a lot less listening to me talk and a lot more listening to yourself gasping for air (jk). If you didn't go to the last one, that's fine since I'll still give variations of each exercise to make things easier or harder, and you can pick which variation you want to do. The actual exercising part won't take up all 1.5 hours, since I'll explain things and give time for questions. This will be a gradual and casual session, so if there's any exercise you don't feel comfortable doing, just skip it.
Calisthenics is a fancy way of saying body weight exercises, so we'll do exercises that don't require any special equipment. To keep things simple, the exercises here will avoid not just special equipment but also any equipment, so you'll be able to do everything we do here at home after.
We'll be on grass, so if you're a popular mosquito snack, wear full sleeves/pants/bug repellent. We'll also do some exercises on the ground, so bring a mat if you don't want to be directly on the grass and wear shoes that have good traction. If you want to do pullup/bar/ring exercises, arrive early or stay late (we don't have time to do those during the event).
GETTING THERE
Caltrain Sunnyvale is just a 10 minute walk from the park, so if you have a Caltrain station between you and Sunnyvale, take Caltrain! Caltrain will be much less painful than driving through traffic by yourself in your little metal box and getting stuck at 7 red lights ;)
If you insist on driving, there's some street parking around the area, but if you don't find parking the easiest place to park is probably a parking garage in downtown Sunnyvale, which also happens to be near the Caltrain station.
FOOD
Plenty of food in downtown from Murphy Avenue down to Target on Iowa Ave, so if you want to get food after you can walk over and grab some food before taking the train back. Walking/talking/eating is not part of the event and will be after the event, so plan to stay later if you want to do that.
