The Flink - Apache Bigtop integration

Abstract

Apache Bigtop is a widely used tool for testing, packaging and integration in the big data space. Large vendors including Hortonworks, Cloudera and Amazon base their distributions on Bigtop components.

Flink integration has been recently added to Bigtop. The talk discusses the testing via the so-called BigPetStore applications covering the DataStream, DataSet, Table/SQL and FlinkML APIs. Packaging is showcased by building a Cloudera Manager add-on for Flink.

About the Speaker

Márton Balassi is a PMC member at Apache Flink and a Solutions Architect at Cloudera. His main focus is real-time distributed data processing frameworks. Márton has been a speaker at Hadoop Summit, ApacheCon and numerous Big Data related meetups recently.
