Speaker Bios:

Matthew Penaroza is a solutions engineer at PingCAP. He was a professional Dota 2 and HoN player with extensive experience building Web3 trading systems and FinTech solutions with AI. At PingCAP, he works with large organizations like AirBnb and LinkedIn to create solutions with a distributed Database called TiDB. He will discuss how TiDB works and how companies like Meta use distributed databases and key-value stores like TiDB to rapidly provide data necessary for generative AI applications.

Vigith Maurice has over 15 years of experience building global applications. For the last 8 years, he has been working at Intuit, building applications that help over 3000 internal developers debug critical applications like TurboTax. His applications have drastically decreased the mean-time-to-detection of bugs and the mean-time-to-resolution by over 50%. Along the way, they developed an open source solution called Numaproj. His talk will discuss how Numaproj helps Intuit train its ML models and ensure inference accuracy.

Shaun Wei has been working on AI use cases since before it was cool. :) At Google, he was working on the Google Assistant. Since then, he has worked at several AI startups to build Generative AI applications. Now, he is the CEO of a cool new startup called RealChar. RealChar allows you to create your own AI character. His talk will encompass gaps between what people build vs. what businesses want, and how to productionalize AutoGen and UI to create a predictable AI agent.
