About us

Fastpacking is a combination of trail running and ultralight backpacking. The goal is to move fast and cover long distances while carrying just enough essentials for a multiday journey. A common approach is to: hike the ups, jog the flats, and run the downs.

The purpose of this group is to bring people together from the Bay Area that are interested in training, planning, and enjoying fastpacking adventures!
