wellness hike at Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve enjoy the Healing Mountain for our physical Health and Mental well-being😇

Skyline Ridge: Preserve offers 2,143-acres of remarkably varied landscape that includes ridge vistas, expansive meadows, a pond for nature study, and a quiet lake frequented by migrating birds.

Russian Ridge: This 3,137-acre preserve known for its showy display of wildflowers in spring. In summer, the hills turn to gold with the late evening sunlight. Autumn, when the fog recedes, is the ideal time to enjoy the ridge views of San Francisco Bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains through the crisp, clean air. Winter storms occasionally dust the top of the hills with snow.

The best time to hike for wildflowers at Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve in California is in the spring, especially from March to May.
When to visit

  • Fall and winter: The weather is also good for hiking at Russian Ridge.
  • Summer: You can hike in the summer if you leave early or hike later in the day.
