Hike at Vasona park and late lunch at Panera Bread
Details
Please feel free to join us for both parts of the event, or just the hike or the lunch. The event will be rescheduled for another day in case of moderate to heavy rain.
The 152-acre park and connecting parkway are Santa Clara County's most popular regional park and recreation areas. The beautiful landscapes and the large Vasona Park Lake form a gorgeous backdrop for a variety of activities like fishing, kayaking, hiking and biking. The park is clean, large and replete with the clear blue water of streams and the lake contrasting against the green bushes and wilderness.
Parking: to avoid paying the parking fee, please park on University Avenue close to the intersection with Blossom Hill Rd, Los Gatos.
Where to meet:
- Meet at 11am at the corner of University Ave. and Blossom Hill Rd. and we will walk into the park together.
Trail info:
- We will walk to and around the lake for an hour and a half. We will first take the Los Gatos Creek trail around the right side of the lake, then go back (on the same trail) and cross the bridge to the other side of the lake and take the Vasona Creek trail around the left side of the lake.
