Shabbat Dinner
Details
We welcome you to join us for our Shabbat dinner on May 29, 2026. This will be held in West San Jose, at Shalom's home, one of our group members. The address will be shared closer to the date of the event.
Attendance is limited to 20 individuals.
You're welcome to invite your single Jewish friends. Nevertheless, we request that your guests register for the event on the meetup site directly. Thus, the guest feature is disabled for this event.
Food: This will be a potluck dinner, Mediteranian food themed. Shalom will make Shwarma. If individuals could bring fresh pita bread, hummus, Israeli salad, schnitzel, falafel, sabich (eggplant), and other Mediterranean dishes, that would be great (but not required). Please bring a dish large enough to feed 5 people. You are welcome to bring a bottle of wine as well, if you would like. Please no pork, bacon, ham, or shellfish (shrimp, clams etc.)
Stores and restaurants that sell Middle Eastern food include: Trader Joe's, Foothill produce, Oakmont, and Oren's hummus as well as others.
We will provide plates, cups, cutlery and non-alcoholic drinks. The stove, microwave and oven will be available for you to reheat your dish. Nevertheless, due to time constraints, please bring the dish already prepared. Please write what you will bring in the comments section so that others can see.
