Talk Julia over Brunch in SF

Details

Let's meet at The Cavalier in SF to talk about the Julia language over coffee or brunch, with a chance to code afterwards. Following are some topics that we can discuss at this event or in the comments below:

  • What talks would you like to hear in this group? Are you interested in talking?
  • If you're new to Julia, you can download it from [1], then follow one of the free resources at [2] to learn.
  • Julia 1.3 was released in Nov [3]. Have you tried out the multi-threading changes? Did this release solve or cause problems for you?
  • The IEEE Computer Society gave Alan Edelman the Fernbach Award [4]; how much of this award to you think is due to his work on Julia?
  • Lyndon White has been working on a debugger [5] that is much faster than Debugger.jl. Have any of you used it?
  • Would you enjoy a talk on lattice reduction in Julia [6]?

After brunch, you're welcome to join us and walk the short distance to Holberton School [7] at 972 Mission St, and spend a couple hours coding. We hope you can make it!
