Beginner Queer Argentine Tango Classes

Everything beautiful about being alive is found in tango. We invite you to come dance with us Sundays in Berkeley.

No partner or experience needed. Absolute beginner's welcome. This is a fun, no pressure class where you will learn the basics of Argentine Tango with supportive teachers.

SUNDAY CLASS SCHEDULE
3:15-3:30 Check in
3:30-4:30: Beginner Class
4:30-5:30: optional practice hour, socialize and chill
Limited to 22 dancers.

MORE ABOUT OUR CLASS
This is a fun, no-pressure class on the fundamentals of Argentine Tango for social dancing. We start each class with the basics of walking and embrace to get everyone off to a solid start with this beautiful walking dance and then move into our theme of the month. While classes are not progressing, we do build on skills during the month.

During the practice hour after class, you are welcome to stay and dance, practice, socialize and ask questions.

WE ARE a community of queer, trans, non-binary and unicorn dancers, and all kindred humans are welcome to join us.

Honor Sliding Scale*
$15-25 General
$10 Students with ID (please bring your ID or play regular pricing)
Email us for discounts when you register for a month of classes.

*We ask higher income dancers to pay a higher rate so dancers and students with less income can attend at a lower rate. Thanks so much for helping us keep queer tango affordable for all.
