Emotions & Chakras in the Park
A lot of people in the spiritual community talk about Chakras and there is much debate over what they influence and how they operate. Getting understandings from many masters through many disciplines can be confusing and make it difficult to know what the true purpose of the chakras are or how to connect them authentically to our human experience. I hope to help bridge some of this confusion as a meditative practitioner with first-hand experience of these energy centers.
In my experience, deep contemplation into my own emotions, thoughts and bodily sensations has clarified a working understanding of the chakras for myself. I know how to feel them, how emotions guide us to them, how and why they are arranged the way they are, where they are in the body, their purpose and how these understandings allow us to understand ourselves and maximize our well-being.
While the chakras themselves are the same for everyone, the way in which we fulfill them and how they are interconnected is highly varied and personal. The more we can open to our vulnerability (with ourselves or others), the more in touch with the chakras we become.
My hope for this gathering is to share some of the practices which work for me with those who attend. As a scientist, I found it helpful to organize this information and as a mystic, I am open to the incredibly wide range of personal experiences and expressions which shape them, and as an artist, I look forward to exploring co-creative solutions to challenges we may face.
With that said, if your still reading this. Let's get together and open ourselves up for an exciting and revealing discussion of our emotions and chakras.
