🥣 Illuminous Vibrations

Join Marie & Ramona for a deep dive into sound & frequency, 7:30-8:30 p.m., the third Friday of the month beginning March 20 thru June 19. We offer an alternative Sound Bath on the first Saturday of the month beginning March 7 thru June 6 from 6:30-7:30pm beginning March 7 through June 6.
These sessions are designed to help you find stillness and recalibrate your nervous system after a long week.
A sound bath isn't just about "listening" to music; it is a full-body experience where sound waves physically interact with your nervous system—a deep cleansing of the static of modern life.
Here are the primary benefits of immersing yourself in these frequencies:

  1. Deep Nervous System "Reset"

The primary goal of a sound bath is to shift the body from the Sympathetic Nervous System (Fight or Flight) into the Parasympathetic Nervous System (Rest and Digest).
Vagus Nerve Stimulation: The low-frequency vibrations of gongs and large bowls stimulate the vagus nerve, which tells your brain it is safe to relax.
Cortisol Reduction: Studies show that sound therapy can significantly lower cortisol levels, the hormone responsible for chronic stress.

  1. Brainwave Entrainment

Sound helps guide the brain into slower, more restorative states. Most of our day is spent in Beta waves (alert/anxious). A sound bath encourages the brain to drop into:
Alpha Waves: Relaxed consciousness and visualization.
Theta Waves: The "twilight" state between waking and sleep where deep emotional healing and creativity occur.
Delta Waves: Deep, dreamless sleep and physical regeneration.

  1. Emotional Release & Clarity

Because sound bypasses the logical mind, it often helps release "trapped" emotions that we can't quite put into words.
Trauma-Informed Support: For those who find traditional talk therapy or sitting meditation difficult, sound provides a "passive" way to process heavy emotions without having to "do" anything.
Mental De-cluttering: Participants often report a sense of "mental space" or breakthrough insights following a session.

  1. Physical Pain Relief

Vibrational therapy has been used to help manage chronic pain by:
Reducing Muscle Tension: The sound waves act like a gentle internal massage for your cells.
Improving Sleep: By quieting the internal "chatter" of the mind, sound baths are a powerful remedy for insomnia.

  1. The "Village" Connection

In our "Oasis," the shared experience of sound creates a unique sense of community. Even though your eyes are closed and you are in your own journey, there is a profound energetic "sync" that happens when a room full of people breathes and vibrates to the same rhythm.
This multi-sensory experience incorporates a variety of sacred instruments --
✨ Crystal & Metal Singing Bowls
🎐 Wind Chimes & Tuning Forks
🥁 Grounding Drums
🌊 Rain & Ocean Soundscapes
And more!
Prepare for Your Journey To get the most out of your sound bath experience, we recommend bringing the following "comfort kit":
A Yoga Mat or Thick Pad: You will be lying on the floor for about an hour, so padding is essential.
Warm Blankets: Bring a cozy blanket (or two!) to stay snug.
Pillows/Bolsters: A small pillow for your head or a bolster.
Eye Mask or Scarf: To help block out light and allow for deeper internal focus.
Water Bottle: To hydrate and ground yourself after the session.
Comfortable Clothing: Think layers, warm socks, and nothing with restrictive waistbands.
Note: we have chairs for folks who can't sit or lie on the floor.
⚠️ HEALTH & SAFETY NOTICE: SOUND HEALING
While sound healing is a non-invasive and restorative practice, the deep vibrations and frequencies used during a session can affect the body in various ways. Please review the following contraindications before booking:

  1. Medical Devices (Pacemakers & AICDs)

Some sound healing instruments can potentially interfere with the settings of these devices.

  1. Pregnancy

Sound baths are generally considered safe during pregnancy; however, we recommend avoiding sessions during the first trimester.

  1. Epilepsy & Sound Sensitivity

In rare cases, specific frequencies or rhythmic patterns can trigger seizures in individuals with sound-induced epilepsy. If you have a history of seizures, please consult your doctor before participating.

  1. Recent Surgeries & Metal Implants

If you have had surgery in the last 6–8 weeks, or if you have metal plates, pins, or joint replacements, we recommend waiting until you are fully healed before attending a high-intensity session.

  1. Emotional & Mental Health

Sound healing can act as a catalyst for emotional release. Please ensure you have a support system in place to help you process any emotions that may surface during or after the "bath."
