Night Photography & Light Painting @ Palace of Fine Arts
Details
Let's do something different and learn light painting! It's a photography technique that uses a moving light source during a long-exposure photography to create striking visual effects.
We'll meet at the Palace of Fine Arts at 8:00 PM. The location is subject to change if I find a better spot, but for now let's plan to meet there since it's known to be a great location for long-exposure night photography.
Please bring your own light source such as an LED wand, flashlight, pixel stick, glow stick, or small GRB light. A tripod is strongly recommended since without one the image can blur, the background may not stay sharp, and light trails can be harder to control.
Bringing a camera isn't required, though you may get better results with one than with a phone.
Disclaimer: I've never done light painting before, so this will be a learning experience with plenty of trial and error. Results may vary, but good vibes are guaranteed.
Lastly, this event is welcome to people of all ages and photography experience levels. Even if you're not interested in taking photos but want to hang out and grab drinks with us after, come through!
