Mushroom Medicine Making

What You'll Learn
Join us for an experiential mushroom medicine-making class. We will focus our experience and teachings on the essential at-home techniques used to make a diversity of medicinal forms: liquids, powders, and topicals. The species we'll be working with will include Lion's Mane, Shiitake, Fomitopsis, Turkey Tail, and Cordyceps and the skills you will learn can be applied to any mushrooms you desire! Additionally, our co-created conversations will focus on why we use the techniques we do and cover topics such as traditional uses, chemistry, cultivation, foraging, and preservation as we make medicine together.

Instructor
This program is led by Ryath Fujita Beauchene, who has been studying, foraging, cultivating, ingesting, making medicine with and absolutely loving fungi for fifteen years. Ryath is also a trained horticulturist and medicinal herb enthusiast-grower who consults with private clients, makes myco-herbal blends & co-stewards Moon Fruit Mushroom Farm & Symbiiotica in Sebastopol, CA. Ryath teaches online & at mycological gatherings, facilitates myco-ecology walks for Fork in the Path and others in forests across Northern California.
