Free class: edible & poisonous mushrooms of California

Join us for a free 60 minute online introductory class about edible California mushrooms (and their lookalikes) led by Carrie Staller at 7pm. This class WILL be recorded if you can't make it live.

Learn the basics of mushroom anatomy and lifecycle, common edible mushrooms, the seasons and habitat they grow in, and what toxic mushrooms look similar so you can avoid them!

The class is offered in tandem with our in-person foraging classes happening on the Sonoma Coast this month and next. Information, dates, and registration about those classes can be found here.

Presenters
Carrie Staller (she/her) is the founder of Fork in the Path. She has a masters degree in sustainability, more than a decade of experience foraging mushrooms, plants and fruits in California, 9 years of teaching yoga, and a deep passion for building community and organizations. Carrie has presented this class at community organizations around California and has been teaching mushroom foraging and identification for 4 years. She loves integrating best practices for adult learning and curating special transformative classes. She lives in Berkeley, CA and wakes up every morning in gratitude for the land, her teachers, and this incredible team of educators and participants who are learning and growing together at Fork in the Path by cultivating deeper relationships with our beautiful and wondrous natural world.
