October Meetup: Presentation Details Announced
Details
Eric Kim and Andre Lewis will present a concept for a live music distribution platform that connects fans with their favorite artists. Their platform will provide a simple real-time streaming solution for any musician and venue and offer fast and easy access to a global audience. They'll discuss the product, challenges, competitors and the need for collaborators & partners.
Stefanie Ku will introduce her musical group, Beautiful Machines (http://www.beautifulmachinesmusic.com/), and give an overview the Sound Healing Center (http://www.soundhealingcenter.com/thcyma.html) and Cymatherapy, a form of sound therapy. Beautiful Machines next project will be a concept album with elements of AR (live shows)/ VR (music videos).
Rob Brown will be presenting Pianop.ly, a browser based program that allows you to learn to play piano easily by using gorgeous, colorful graphics to guide you as you play along with YouTube music videos. Pianop.ly uses the latest MidiAccess and WebAudio APIs to synch the videos to your MIDI keyboard.
Kurt Kunselman has almost two decades of music industry experience and will be discussing the Independent Distribution Collective (http://www.independentdistro.com/), a valuable marketing and distribution resource for 700+ artists. He'll also discuss Peanut Butter & Jamm (http://pbjamm.org/), a non-profit that provides music sessions to kids in underserved communities.
This will be a compelling and insightful gathering where we can share new product ideas, give presentations for new projects, evaluate go-to-market strategies & business models, learn more about bay area businesses and discuss industry trends and topics.
The agenda will be as follows:

• 8:30 - 9:00 Hang
We'll also have time for people to make quick 30 second announcements or introductions.
