Let’s kick off summer with a casual evening of good food and great conversation on the garden patio at Mazra, a cozy Mediterranean gem in downtown Redwood City.

This local favorite is the brainchild of brothers Jordan and Saif Makableh, who created Mazra—Arabic for “farm”—to share the bold, vibrant flavors of their Jordanian roots and honor their family’s rich culinary heritage with warm, welcoming hospitality.

It’s a hugely popular spot that often has a line out the door, so we’re lucky to get a reservation! We’ll be seated on their garden patio (which is heated) once our full group arrives, so please plan to get there by 5:45 PM to help make it as smooth as possible. (And yes, that means leaving a little extra time to find parking!)

💵 How it works:
Mazra uses a QR code for ordering—easy and efficient. Everyone orders and pays individually, so no awkward check splitting.

🍽️ Menu preview & vibe check:
Expect grilled meats, kebabs, falafel, vibrant salads, wraps, house-made sides, and plenty of vegetarian options. You can get a feel for the menu at eatmazra.com or on Yelp. Mazra does not serve alcohol, but you’re welcome to bring your own wine or beer. A $7 corkage fee per drinking guest applies.

• Street parking can be tight, so give yourself time to find a spot.
• Public garages are close by (like Jefferson & Marshall).
