🍵🌸 Japanese Tea Garden Visit & Optional Lunch - San Francisco 🌸🍵

Step into a peaceful world of winding paths, koi ponds, stone lanterns, graceful bridges, and beautiful Japanese landscaping as we spend a relaxing Sunday morning together at the historic Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park.

Join your New Beginnings friends for a self-guided stroll through one of San Francisco’s most treasured landmarks. We'll take our time exploring the garden, enjoying the scenery, taking photos, and connecting with one another along the way.

Afterward, those who wish can continue the fun with an optional lunch at one of many nearby restaurants. We'll decide on a location together based on group interest. If you are not joining us for lunch, the tour portion of this event will end 12:30-12:45 PM.

🚶 We will enter the garden promptly at 11:10 AM.

Please arrive early enough to park and walk to the entrance.

Originally created as part of the California Midwinter International Exposition in 1894, the Japanese Tea Garden is the oldest public Japanese garden in the United States. 🅿️ PARKING & TRANSPORTATION

Free street parking is available throughout Golden Gate Park.

Paid parking is available in the underground garages beneath:
• California Academy of Sciences
• de Young Museum

Weekends can be very busy in Golden Gate Park, so please allow extra time to find parking and walk to the garden entrance.

🚙 Carpooling is encouraged whenever possible.

Look for Leah and Sylvie near the entrance.
They'll be wearing colorful bead necklaces and carrying sparkly green streamers so you can easily spot the group.
