Join us for September Nights on B Street, a festive evening of live music, food, strolling, and downtown fun on the B Street Pedestrian Mall.
The night’s featured band is Pure Ecstasy, bringing the sounds of Motown & R&B to the main stage. 🎶
Whether you want to listen, dance, grab a bite, explore downtown, or simply enjoy a beautiful evening with friends, you can make the night your own.

The City is closing the intersection between the two blocks of the pedestrian mall to create one larger space to stroll, listen to music, dine, and explore downtown businesses. There will also be additional entertainment and a Kids Zone.
Admission is free.

đź’š NEW BEGINNINGS MEET & MINGLE: 5:45 PM
We’re getting together 15 minutes before the official event begins so we have a chance to find one another, make introductions, and connect before B Street gets busy and noisy.
đź“Ť Meet on the B Street side of Cinema Plaza, outside the Cinemark Century San Mateo 12 (320 2nd Avenue).
Look for our green sparkly streamers and your host, Amy, wearing colorful beads.
We’ll gather there from about 5:45–6:15 PM. After that, you’re free to wander, dance, listen to the music, grab dinner or drinks, and explore B Street with other New Beginnings members.

đź•– ARRIVING LATER?
We’ll return to our meeting spot for a brief optional regroup from about 6:45–7:00 PM, giving later arrivals another opportunity to find us.
After 7:00, we’ll all be enjoying the event, so there won’t be a stationary New Beginnings check-in spot. Once you've connected with some of the group, feel free to enjoy the evening at your own pace!

A convenient option is the Main Street Garage, between 1st and 2nd Avenues, just a short walk from our meeting spot. Because the B Street/2nd Avenue intersection will be closed for the event, plan to enter the garage from 1st Avenue, or drive around behind the movie theaters to reach the 2nd Avenue entrance. You can also park in the Caltrain parking lot, which has overflow parking in the large below-street-level lot, or look for available street parking nearby. Give yourself a few extra minutes since downtown will be busier than usual.
