Your Best & Worst Polyam Stories, w/Jess Miller at EB Polyam Discussion (Online)
Details
This month, on Tues April 20 from 7:30 - 9:30pm PDT, Guest Facilitator Jessica Miller will lead the group in discussing "our Positive Polyamory Practices &/or Pitfalls."
For this group, attendees are encouraged to bring funny, disastrous, heartbreaking and/or inspirational stories of your own polyamorous/RA/Open Relationship/etc lives. As Jess says: "We all have them! LOL!" To allow for the most people to share, we'll start with 2-3 minutes each of sharing/storytelling (so save the 40 min shaggy dog stories for another time!)
Polyamory/Open Relating/RA/solo-poly etc has many opportunities for things to go spectacularly well... or badly. For example, I myself (Dawn) remember well the time, when our polyfamily attended a conference wherein over 50% of the conference attendees came down with a 24 hr flu, including all 4 of us at various times. But by shifting who was presenting what and when (and some frantic re-writing of notes), we were able to successfully deliver all 3 of our presentations that weekend! The worst of times, and also the best of times, polyamory style!
So what sorts of joys and sorrows have you experienced along the way? From small and heartwarming through large and tragic, your stories are welcome here. (Just please remember to either ask for permission from the other people involved, or leave out any identifying details. Consent is important!)
We hope that sharing these stories will be entertaining and connecting as well as enlightening.
PS: Don't have a story to share, or don't want to tell it here? That's ok too! It's perfectly fine to just listen. Maybe one of these stories will save you from a similar one in the future, or inspire you to an amazing peak polyam experience!

ABOUT the East Bay Polyamory Group Online:
All are welcome! Poly, poly-friendly, and poly-curious of all persuasions and a variety of ages. As long as you're open and respectful, we're happy to have you join us.
Please note it's a social event, not a meat market or play party. (Nothing wrong with play parties but this isn't one.) We love to meet and hang out with good folks who are into what we are. Come join our community!
Our events are supported by donations. We don't have physical hosting costs right now, but we do still have costs for Meetup & Zoom, etc. We suggest $20 - $15 per person, with No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds. We appreciate all donations, and absolutely understand if you don't have anything to spare right now! During SIP, donations can be made via this special PayPal link:
