Title: Getting Started with the RISCV Software Development
Abstract: “New kid on the block” RISC-V open ISA standard is experiencing rapid growth, adding many new features that further expands its reach into all computing segments. RISC-V continues to provide unparalleled flexibility, with earlier wide adoption in embedded and specialized computing devices leading to large volumes shipping commercially today. It has adopted an “Upstream first” approach for OpenSource Software (OSS) development, which is not unique but has been aspirational. As a result Linux Distributions were booting on RISC-V emulators way before real silicon was available. This talk will cover recent developments in RISC-V OSS latest developments and pointers for how to get started for new developers. It will also cover various OSS community activities around RISC-V development.

Speaker: Khem Raj
About the Speaker: Khem Raj has been helping several open source initiatives within the company. He is guiding the company's adoption of open source software, and becoming an active contributor to the open source components. He has presented at several well known conferences about RISC-V development at Comcast.

Title: gcc-14 release: what's latest and greatest for RISC-V

Speaker: Vineet Gupta
About the Speaker: Vineet Gupta has been hacking on tool-chains and compilers for RISC-V with focus on gcc codegen improvements, Performance analysis and comparison to other architectures. Frequent distractions and musings into Linux kernel, glibc and other FOSS projects.
