The Kamala Harris "107 Days" Book Tour

Good morning, BPAWest!

If you know me, you know that I am deeply politically oriented. I have very clear understandings of the political order and I express those views freely when I am with friends.

However, on my trips (or on any Event organized by Backpackers of the American West), there is an unspoken rule: we refrain from any political discussion whatsoever while the Event takes place.

I learned very early in my meanderings to abide by this rule when I was leading a group to Pinnacles National Park. At our campfire one night, politics came up in our discussions. A participant, a woman who has since become my friend, later told me that she did not enjoy the conversation. She held an opposing view and was very uncomfortable with the direction our conversation took.

I listened. I understood. I made my change.

Since then, I have kept politics out of my trips.

However, this Event not like any other Event: it is by its very nature is VERY political.

Therefore, please know that if you choose to attend, politics is the heart and soul of the Event.

So, with this understanding, would any of you wish to join me this coming Sunday, October 5th, to participate in the Kamala Harris "107 Days" Book Tour?

I HAVE TWO TICKETS IN THE FRONT ROW of BALCONY SECTION EIGHT.

We will be sharing the entire cost 50/50.

This may include sharing rides and/or meals.

2. Of course, you may call me at any time prior to pressing the "Attend" button at 602 292-0753 to discuss the trip fully.
3. Please know that PRESSING THE "ATTEND" BUTTON DOES NOT GUARANTEE PARTICIPATION. ONLY A CONFIRMATION OF PARTICIPATION BY MICHELLE MOZELL will guarantee your participation. Therefore, for possible participation, you must first discuss this event with Michelle Mozell at 602-292-0753.
4. The maximum participation is TWO. I've only two tickets.
5. You are responsible for all individual transportation to and from the event. NO individual transportation is provided.
6. However, WE CAN PLAN TO TRAVEL TOGETHER or meet at the event. Let's discuss this together!
7. We can, also, have a meal together before or after (or both), if this works out. Let's discuss this, too.
8. PLEASE NOTE: THIS WILL BE A PRICEY EVENT. THE TOTAL COST (with event cancellation insurance) is $239.50. THE COST TO YOU IS $119.75.
9. Your payment is due right after we speak and we have agreed that you will be attending. This payment will be NON-REFUNDABLE if you do not attend. However, if I do not receive the tickets or the Event is cancelled AND I receive a full refund, your deposit will be returned to you.
10. PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST ATTEND WITH ME. I HAVE THE ELECTRONIC TICKETS.
11. However, I will NOT receive those tickets electronically until October 4th; therefore, there is a possibility that I will not receive them in time: a real complication. We will agree to "play this by ear."
12. Bring your ID to enter and be prepared to be fully searched as we enter.
13. I do not believe a copy of the book is included with the entry purchase price; therefore there is no guarantee you will be receiving a copy of her book whatsoever.
