Get Your Climb On: Pinehurst Loop (Oakland/Moraga) with "Slalom Descents"

Details
Details: 25 miles, 2000 feet (some quite steep) climb, 12-14 MPH You should have a road bike and be a good climber for this one.
I will stop (and you will stop for me!) for up to 10 min. at the top of hills, but please print out the route map and cue sheet on the link below in case you fall behind.
Other groups will be joining us.
Meet: 9:15 AM, ready to roll 9:30 AM
Activity Fee: 2.00 (covers website and event planning fees)
Route: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/257327779
This route starts on Park Blvd. goes up into the Oakland hills, down Redwood Rd. and includes the "legendary Pinhurst climb." But it goes DOWN old Tunnel Rd. after a few rollers, so that's a plus. Just when you think you're done, there a little parting gift: a very short steep climb and descent to get to the finish.
What I like about this route, is that it include a straight shot and two "slalom" course descents. And we go by the little town of Canyon, CA with a "post office stop" for snacks.
