Let's go for an easy 5.1-mile walk around Lake Merritt followed by Happy Hour at Lake Chalet (http://www.thelakechalet.com/). We've been on three of these outings over the summer, so it seems appropriate to go once more before fall is in full swing.

This enjoyable stroll is an active, relaxing way to spend the evening. The scenic path around Oakland's crown jewel will take us past the Cleveland Cascade (http://clevelandcascade.org/wp/), where we will optionally jog up the stairs for some exercise, and through the Lake Merritt Wildlife Sanctuary (http://www2.oaklandnet.com/Government/o/opr/s/Parks/OAK032395).

The walk will take a little over an hour. We will leave promptly at 4:10 so that we can complete most of the walk before twilight is over. After completing the loop around Lake Merritt, we'll head into Lake Chalet to partake in the food and drink specials.

This event is limited to 40 attendees, so the group's attendance policy will be in effect. Thanks for understanding, and see you by the lake!
