Virtual Meetup: "51 Birch Street" (2005) with Director Q&A!

Details
Fellow film fans,
even though theaters are open again we'll continue our virtual series as well for a little while. This time we have another exceptional film that will spark good conversation - "51 Birch Street"
This is a special event: We will have the filmmaker, Doug Block, join us for a Q&A and conversation.
51 Birch Street
This is one of my all time favorite documentaries - I'm beyond thrilled that Kanopy offers it and that you get to experience it now too. Documentarian Doug Block makes one last trip to his childhood home that's supposed to get sold - a trip that will upend his understanding of his parents' life and relationship, leaving us with the question "How well do we know our parents?"

This is how it works: we watch the movie at our leisure before the event. (ideally both, but even if you get around to watching only one of them please join us!)
We'll then get together on Zoom for a discussion of the movies. The zoom link is provided in the invite.
I am focusing on movies that are available on Kanopy.com, a streaming service that collaborates with public libraries and allows for several movies to be watched for free every month (all you need to sign up is a library card). The movies may also be available on other streaming services (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Tubi etc.)
I look forward to seeing you on zoom!
Best,
Stefan
