Welcome to the Bay Area Runners. We would like to form a running group for people who love to run and want to keep motivated by running with others who love to run. Runners of all levels are welcome and we'll progressively run longer distances through the seasons!

[Willow Glen-Los Gatos Creek Trail] Early Morning Run

Needs a location

Early morning start for folks who want to get their run in before work. Jump start your day with some dedicated and friendly runners! We will start at the parking lot of Blackford Elementary School and get on the Los Gatos Creek trail running to Campbell towards Los Gatos. We make a couple of stops for water and take a little walk break in the middle. It's an easy straight trail so you can't get lost. The run will be 6 miles, but one can run further or less as desired. We have a special procedure for these early morning runs. It is meant to help insure that no one drags themselves out of bed only to be left alone to run. (for safety reasons too) Goes as follows: Please RSVP day/night before. (if you don't the meetup will likely be cancelled or I will forget to check back in the morning) Confirm that you are joining the run no later than 5:10 AM. Two ways to confirm: meetup in the morning, or change your rsvp. text me in the morning to confirm. [masked]. If you do not confirm by one of those two means, then I will expect that you will not be joining and others can adjust their plans accordingly. It's very rewarding to be finishing your run before the day gets going. It's a bit tough to get used to at first, but soon you may find yourself looking forward to it. It makes for a great day, so come out and join us!

[CAMPBELL] Free Boot Camp at Campbell TRACK

Boot Camp! We will get started by 6:30 so if you want to stretch, come early! Bring a towel/mat and get ready to do some hard core training and plyometrics. (Plyometric movements, in which a muscle is loaded and then contracted in rapid sequence, use the strength, elasticity and innervation of muscle and surrounding tissues to jump higher, run faster, throw farther, or hit harder, depending on the desired training goal. It's where speed and power meet) GAME PLAN: Warm Up: 1 mile run Workout: 40 Minutes of stomach/ arm/ leg rotations Cool down: 800 meter run (2 laps around the track) IMPORTANT NOTE: I am not a professional trainer so only do what you know your body can handle. Please keep in mind that this workout is organized by volunteer runners. We host these workouts as a benefit to our fellow running community.
