What we’re about
Are you new to the Bay Area? Are you a longtime resident who wants to meet new people? Do you enjoy hikes and walks? Museums, concerts, and cultural events? Biergartens and book talks?
This group is for anyone interested in socializing, meeting other people in a relaxed and welcoming environment, and enjoying the good stuff that the Bay Area has to offer.
We go hiking on the weekends, check out new events, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy good conversations along the way. Come say hi and see where that takes you :)

Policy on cancelling and no-shows:
We recognize that sometimes life gets in the way of showing up to an event. But at the same time, we want our events to be fun gatherings for hosts and guests alike. So if you can't make it, please update your RSVP at least 2 hours before the event starts. We reserve the right to boot people from this Meetup group who are no-shows.

What's It Like?
Do you wish you could have more of the kinds of conversations you have late at night where for some reason, you feel safe talking about the things you actually care about?
Bring your friends (or come by yourself- most people do!) and spend your Friday night at an event where you know everyone else is there for the same reason.
We'll be offering 'big talk' conversational prompts on them to get you started, and we'll have lots of structure to make sure that you actually talk to people and that it's not awkward.
There will be food and drinks for sale!
Check-in for this event will begin around 6:45 pm. Please do your best to arrive before 7:00 pm so we can begin as close to on time as possible.
