This group is for all those travel lovers out there that need travel buddies and groups to explore the world with! If you are single or solo and hate paying single supplement fees, begging friends to go on vacation, or just don't like planning trips we are the group for you! We plan trips all over the world and do tons of local bay area stuff too! It's a great way to make friends and meet people to travel with in the future. This is also a great club to find travel partners for trips you develop and need people to join!

The always unique & quirky Haunted cemetery historical & wine hike !

Train Depot parking lot. (East side by bathrooms)

Details Don't miss this quirky, easy & unique Haunted cemetery wine & Historical event. We meet in the Sonoma train depot park just North of the Sonoma town square park, Its 2 blks up on First Street West. Go up 1st St, & look for the Train depot on the right. Pull in & park in the back near the train & bathrooms. It's easy but some rocky parts & a little short climbing. Awesome" Valley of the moon" views. Lots of terrain changes. The Black pond. The 2017 fires lookout. The really old & spooky Cemetery. The cool & spooky rock quarry. The Snake Dragon in its Lair. Stone came from here after the San Francisco quake to rebuild. The only person in the Revolutionary war to be in this cemetery was a William Smith from 1778. There are also many other famous winery & land owner & historical figures here. Sonoma also has the last & most Northern Missionary in California. Lots of historical places & artifacts in town. **Wear good hiking shoes. & a jacket in the am. **I will have personal Wine varietals for all, water, juices, teas, gourmet fruit & nut packs, hiking poles, great trail bars, plus other snacks & drinks & more. This will keep you going as the hike should finish by 3:30. (Note) We will not have lunch on the hike as I will have a variety of food & drink to keep you going. We will then have our wine tasting option at some of the great Sonoma wineries/bars. I will have free passes for those wanting to wine taste. Sonoma Canopy Tours

What we'll do The Forest Flight Zip Line experience ! And the NEW "Tree Top" Experience" A Bucket List event ! We meet at Sonoma canopy Tours/Alliance redwoods 6250 Old Bohemian Hwy. It is 1.5 miles N. of the Union hotel in Occidental .Meet me in front of the kiosk & weighin waiver sign in area. We will be in the beautiful & tall Redwoods near the Russian river & Occidental. There are 7 runs, 2 sky bridges, A spiral staircase & a the rappel platform down. Highest part is 250 ft. & the longest run is about 1900 ft. ft. Almost 5000 ft. of Zipping ! You may reach speeds of 25-40 mph ! 70 lbs is the min. wgt. & 250 lbs is the max. Shorts are ok. (You will go faster with less clothing) . Or wear smooth tight clothing. Tie back long hair. No open toed shoes. *********Bring a camera with a strap. or rent a helmet cam or bring your Go-Pro. Cell phones will not work properly. Our dinner option in Occidental follows the Zip lining. Hidden ancient forest walk & the amazing WILDVCATS Experience !

Union Hotel Restaurant & Cafe

What we'll do We meet in front of the Union hotel in Occidental. We will drive up to the very hidden property in the redwoods from the Hotel. This may be your only chance for quite some time to experience this amazing event. Visits were stopped after Covid Lockdowns were implemented. Normally 12 is the maximum attendance . But is only 7 people now. * Our first stop will be to walk & explore the ancient & huge trees hidden in this private grove. This unique forest has the ability to create it's own weather. One of the trees has a small colony of little Brown Bats. Hopefully they will be home for us to see & photograph. From here we will travel a short way to the hidden Sanctuary of 18 unique & endangered Wildcats. This is not a zoo. You will be up close & may even partially interact & touch one of the beautiful Cheetahs. The last last new baby came to them just before Covid shut things down. (Bummer) The baby has now grown up a bit. You will learn much about these awesome beautiful animals. Such as: The cool Fish cat. The amazing Ocelot, The most beautiful Snow Leopard & many more fabulous wildcats. Following our guided educational & photo tour we will break for a light wine luncheon. I'm sure many of you will have questions. The Wildcat Foundation is a Non profit organization. The only one of its kind in Ca.
