Startups, open source, and Azure: the real stories

What happens when startup teams are moving fast, tying together multiple open source tools on multiple languages, and running on Azure? Find out straight from the people who have built interesting solutions – or had some near-disasters -- on top of Azure. We’ll have multiple speakers from startup teams who are ready to share what they’ve learned, some solid advice, and things to avoid. We’ll have some Microsoft folks on hand, but we’ll be there to listen and learn as much as you!

We’ve got a few speakers lined up but looking for more! If you’d be interested and willing to give a 5-minute lightning talk on your team’s Azure experiences (good or bad), let us know!

This meetup will be run by Cindy Alvarez. Cindy Alvarez is a Principal Design Researcher in the Cloud and Enterprise group at Microsoft, and author of Lean Customer Development: Building Products Your Customers Will Buy. Her work exploring how to understand and win over a rising generation of “cloud native” developers has influenced teams across the division. She is a regular speaker on customer development, enterprise innovation, and lean best practices internally and externally at events including Lean Startup Conference, Øredev, and Web 2.0. Prior to joining Microsoft through the Yammer acquisition, Cindy built products and led research and design teams at venture-backed startups, and now mentors entrepreneurs through Alchemist Accelerator and Microsoft Ventures.
