4th of July Picnic + Fireworks Over the Waterfront

Please bring something to share with the group, whether it's a favorite dish, dessert, fruit, or beverages.

Celebrate Independence Day with an afternoon and evening of great company, good food, and one of San Francisco's best views! We'll meet at beautiful Francisco Park starting at 5:00 PM for a relaxed picnic overlooking the bay, enjoying the holiday, making new friends, and sharing food and drinks. Feel free to arrive earlier if you'd like to help save space on the lawn and claim a great viewing spot for the evening.

As the sun sets, we'll settle in for the fireworks show, which is expected to begin around 9:30 PM and last approximately 20 minutes. From our elevated vantage point, we'll have the opportunity to view both the Aquatic Park Pier and Pier 39 displays.

A friendly reminder: this is San Francisco, so fog and chilly temperatures are always possible, and fireworks visibility is never guaranteed. Bring warm layers, a blanket, and a positive attitude. After the fireworks, anyone who wants to continue the evening is welcome to join us at a nearby bar while we wait for the largest crowds and traffic to clear out before heading home. Also, parking is a nightmare, so driving isn't recommended!
