To visit Wedgemount Lake on June 6, 2026, you will need a day pass to park at the trailhead. However, you do not need a day pass for a day hike
Schedule
7:00 a.m. Meet at the church parking lot for carpooling.
7:05 a.m. Depart together for the Wedgemount Lake Trail parking area.
9:15 a.m. Arrive at the trailhead and begin the hike.
This is a difficult hike of approximately 12 km round trip with about 1,200 m of elevation gain. Snow may still be present, and participants should be prepared for approximately 8 hours of hiking.
Please bring microspikes or crampons, as there may be snow patches along the route.
We may consider approaching the glacier and ice caves only if conditions are assessed to be safe on the day of the hike.
For safety reasons, this hike is limited to participants whom I have previously hiked with or otherwise vetted for difficult or challenging hikes, and who have demonstrated suitable cardiovascular fitness and endurance.
If you would like to join, please add yourself to the waitlist first.
