Group Meditation at Behavioral Fitness
In a world that moves quickly and asks so much of us, this weekly gathering offers a chance to slow down, breathe, and reconnect—with yourself and with others.
We’ll settle onto the yoga mats with blankets and bolsters, share a brief check-in, and set an intention if you feel called to do so. Together, we’ll experience a 20–30 minute guided meditation, followed by tea and conversation for those who wish to stay and reflect. There is no pressure to share, no expectation to “do it right,” and no experience required.
Facilitated by Behavioral Fitness co-founder Teri DeLaMontanya, this offering is rooted in the belief that meditation is a practice, not a performance. Teri is a former emergency nurse leader who once found sitting still for even one minute to be uncomfortably difficult. Through years of personal practice and training—including study at Buddha Gate Monastery and completion of the nine-stage Elephant Path meditation program—she discovered that stillness isn’t about emptying the mind or getting it “right.” It’s about learning to meet ourselves with curiosity, compassion, and presence.
Each week, we explore a variety of guided meditations and moments of shared silence, creating opportunities to cultivate awareness, resilience, and inner calm within the support of community. Some evenings may include reflection prompts or discussion, while others invite us simply to rest in stillness together.
Whether you’re brand new to meditation or have practiced for years, you are welcome here. Come as you are. Bring your curiosity, your breath, and your presence. Leave feeling a little more grounded, a little more connected, and reminded that you don’t have to navigate life alone.
At Behavioral Fitness, we believe wellbeing is built through small, consistent practices and meaningful connection. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.

Please bring your own yoga mat if you have one.
We also have mats that can be borrowed if you dont have a mat or forget to bring it.
