Camping Trip: Beehive Skeptics demonstrates earth's curvature in the Salt Flats!

Is the earth round? Yes, it is... We have already demonstrated this in our previous joint event with the Utah Flat Earth group. We showed a 208 foot curvature over the Great Salt Lake! Yet, online flat earth communities persist. So, we are going to repeat the test in a more video-friendly way, at the "flattest place on earth" the Bonneville Salt Flats! The hope is to create a visual demonstration of a test that can be repeated and shared on social media.

Join us! We'll have a weekend of campfires, stargazing, and camping in the Salt Flats.

We'll meet at Westpoint Park in Salt Lake City to start our road trip to the Salt Flats. GPS: 40.79394788398491, -111.94579908913941
We will start driving by 6pm.
These campsites are first come, first serve, so we cannot guarantee an exact location. If you miss driving down with us, keep posted on exact campsite locations. We will be shooting for "Rishel Peak Campsite" as our first priority: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8bSffKZDMeytX3sJ6 you'll be safe driving towards that, and we'll upload coordinates to the event comments once the site is confirmed.

We will be asking for $20 per person to help with the cost of the event. This will be a camping event with very limited resources. You will be responsible for your own food and sleeping arrangements. If you are interested in having joint meals message host to make arrangements.
