In-Person Trivia at the GLB Brewpub, 11 Lower Jarvis Street, Units 5-8 Toronto

Join us as we attend the Great Lakes Brewpub's Season 2 this coming Wednesday called Are you Smarter than A Scottish Guy.

Note that he has changed the rules for Season 2, and in order to be eligible for the prizes as set out below the team has to be less than 6 people. Hopefully if we get more people out like 10 - 12 then we will be able to field two strong teams and hopefully win more than one prize.

The trivia starts at 7:00pm-7:15 pm but it is better if you arrive at 600pm - 6:30 pm or as soon after as you can; they do not take reservations and frown upon one person saving a table for 6-8. We have enjoyed past in-person trivia events but the locations either did not have good beer, good food, or good service; GLB Brewpub has all three. We have been at every trivia night so far.

Prizes include a $50 gift card for 1st place, an 8 pack for 2nd place, and a 4 pack for 3rd place.

There is also a small prize for best team name, so put on your creative hat. The host seems to like puns and prefers short team names. However he only gave us the best name prize twice as he thinks we win too much. However, that has not stopped us from coming up with some great names that he will have to give us the prize again soon.

Trivia players can also get pours of Great Lakes Lager for $5 (sometimes other beers as well depending if they are wanting to empty a keg). Their Detroit-style pizza is discounted to $15; they range up to $26 regularly. They have added some new pizza varieties and keep changing their menu - chicken wings are back.

Held at GLB Brewpub. It is very centrally located and easy to get by transit.

As we have really had a lot of fun and the host is funny, we have decided to post on a weekly basis for the time being. However, we are also doing C'est What Trivia the 4th Wednesday of every month. Occasionally we will visit other venues such as Fox & the Fiddle on the Danforth or Sneeky Dee's for Another Round trivia. Please bring me suggestions for other venues as it is good to change things up.
