Befriend at Kinross Community Garden - Welcome to Spring!
Details
Join Befriend hosts Caroline and Lee for a tea/coffee (BYO mug preferred) and chat while while enjoying the surrounds of Kinross Community Garden, or get involved in gardening activities. No gardening knowlege required - someone will be happy to share their knowledge with you.
We will be having a special presentation!
Dr Kit, aka the Bee Babette, is an expert in all things native bees. She will be introducing us to the world of native bees, who are a sign of spring. Learn all about the diversity of native bees and evidence-based actions to attract them to your garden and conserve them at large. Here's a taster: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihtQf-vtEQo
Local artist Trish will be helping us make flower crowns and our very own balloon twister will be creating balloon flowers
We'll also have our usual:
- Share Table
We'll have our usual Share Table where we will put garden produce and plants that people can take home. We welcome contributions from home gardens.
- Containers for Change
We invite you to bring along Containers for Change you as the Community Garden uses funds raised from these to help with ongoing costs.
As always everyone is welcome at Kinross Community Garden. It doesn't matter where you live and there is no fee to join - just come along! Children/teens accompanied by a parent/guradian
This event is advertised elsewhere so don't think you are the only one coming. Typically there are about 15 people.
This meetup post is not monitored.
