Build an AI app using 5 Azure Services (Track wild polar bears with AI)

Details
In this IN-PERSON Beginners Machine Learning workshop, You will build an end-to-end AI solution using Azure IoT Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Serverless Functions, Microsoft Cognitive Services, and Azure SQL Database.
As part of this, you will get some hands-on experience with machine learning using simulated live data streams on the cloud. This will be our first in-person workshop of 2022!
During the workshop, you will build a scalable system that:
- Receives pictures from a set of Internet-connected, motion-activated cameras
- Uses machine learning to determine if a Polar Bear is present in the photographs
- Track matches found in a relational database for historical reporting and
- Creates a set of visualisations from the data that makes it easy to determine when and where polar bears have been sighted
The content of this workshop is based on the following Microsoft Learn Tutorial:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/build-ml-model-with-azure-stream-analytics
The event is free and everybody is welcome to register. Please register on Eventbrite to confirm your space:

Please arrive from 6:00pm and there will be coffee and pastries available - the training starts promptly at 6:15pm and ends at 9:00pm. It is a hands-on course and there will be plenty of lab exercises. We expect to have 80 attendees and will put everybody in groups of six people around a table so you can help each other.
Attendees will need to bring a laptop with an active Azure subscription (trial or pay-as-you-go).
Prereq:
- Bring your laptop
- Familiarity with shell scripting, SQL & Javascript Programming
- Familiarity with APIs, cloud computing and machine learning concepts
- Familiarity with Node.js Framework
This will be a hands-on class so please bring your laptop fully charged!
Spaces for this class will be limited.
Questions you will answer in this workshop:
- How can I take advantage of Microsoft Cognitive Services for analysing data in real-time?
- How can I build an end-to-end solution on Azure to ingest, analyze and visualise live-stream data?
- What do I need to consider when working with real-time data streams?
- What is serverless computing?
Agenda:
6:00pm - 6:30pm Registrations, Networking & Refreshments
6:30pm - 8:30pm - Code Lab
8:30pm - 9:00pm - Wrap up & Close
Q&A:
- What will I need to bring to this workshop?
Your laptop, some snacks, and a charger. You will also need a Microsoft account (Sign up here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/). - I am an absolute beginner. Can I still come?
Of course! We will explain all the concepts from scratch as we build the end-to-end solution. However, please note that this is an intermediate-level workshop. You will benefit more if you are already familiar with shell, javascript and SQL programming, Node.js Framework, APIs, cloud computing and machine learning concepts. - Do I need to pay money for this workshop or Microsoft Azure?
No. This workshop is free and the Microsoft Azure services we use during it cost less than £3. Please make sure to clean up all of your instantiated resources after you are done to avoid incurring charges.
