Crawfordsburn to Bangor

Grade: Easy

This is a 6 mile linear walk around the scenic seascape & woodlands of the North Down Coastal Path.

This is a wonderful out and back route that follows the coast from Helen's Bay to Bangor and back, visiting Crawfordsburn Country Park, Smelthil Bay, Pickie Fun Park, and Bangor Marina along the way. The distance is around 6 miles.

We'll meet outside the Woodlands Cafe and Visitor Centre. We can go there for coffee and scones/refreshments after the walk.

Wear sturdy footwear. Absolutely NO trainers. Bring a raincoat in case there's a little light rain. Walking poles are recommended if you use them.

This walk costs £6 for non-members and £1 for members.

Old money directions:
Take A2 to Ballyrobert Rd/B20 in Ards and North Down. Turn left onto Ballyrobert Road/B20 and when you get to Crawfordsburn village, turn left onto Bridge Road S. The entrance to Crawfordsburn Country Park is on the right.
