Grade: Easy as far as the Glen Road underpass.

The forecast for Sunday still shows some light rain, but hopefully there will be some dry spells too and it will be pretty sheltered under the trees in Colin Glen.

We'll meet at Colin Glen River Entrance which is at 163 Stewartstown Road, Belfast.

Wear walking shoes/boots - no trainers please. Bring a rainjacket (it helps with Murphy's Law!).

The walk up through the woodland and back should take about two hours. It will be lovely walking up through the glen looking for some early signs of spring on its way.

Mona's Café is in the car park so we'll go there afterwards.

This walk costs £6 for non members. Annual membership is £20 and £1
per walk.

How to get to Colin Glen River Entrance: The easiest way is to click on 'location' shown in this event via the Meetup app on your smartphone. Google Maps will direct you straight there.

Old money directions: Leave M1 at Junction 3. Turn right off slip road under M1 bridge, straight onto Blacks Road. Go to T junction at the end of Blacks Road and turn left. After the next set of traffic lights continue for 100 metres. Colin Glen car park is on the right. If the car park is full, there's always parking in the next side road at Glengoland Avenue.

Public transport:
The Glider will take you right there. Get off at the Glengoland stop, walk citybound for 2 minutes along the Stewartstown Road - you'll see the brown sign for Colin Glen. Go into car park and the gates of the park are directly in front of you.
Best way to look up journey details is via Google Maps. Enter the start and end points of your journey and click on directions. To the right of the Car icon is a Bus icon, click on it and it will list out the bus times.
