Tuesday Fragrance Lake Hike

Fragrance Lake is one of the most popular hikes in the NW and it's easy to see why: easy access, great views, a deep forest, and scenic lake. Join us Tuesday to enjoy it in bright summer sunshine.

This is a 6.5 mile loop hike of moderate difficulty with 1000 feet of elevation gain and a max altitude of 1,100 feet. We will loop around the lake in addition to taking the spur to the lookout over the Salish Sea (if people wish). We'll also take a short snack break at the lake. This will be my slightly different version of the hike, taking the Fragrance Lake trail as usual but coming back down via the Lost Lake road and passing a waterfall. Afterwards, we may head to Stone's Throw Brewery for a refreshing beverage.

• We will meet at the Lost Lake parking lot, a little south of the main Larrabee Park entrance.
• A Discover Pass is required for parking.
• Well behaved dogs on leash are always welcome.
• There is a restroom at the parking lot where we'll start the hike.

Stamina Alert: This is not a beginner hike. You will need to be in shape to hike continuously uphill for miles. Planned pace is moderate and I would like to stay together as one group.

We will cancel for high winds or monsoon rains. We will hike sun, rain, snow, or sleet.
