Wednesday Raptor Ridge Hike
Details
The Raptor Ridge trail is another of the great hikes just outside Bellingham city limits that reminds you what a wonderful place this is to live. There are lots of ways to get to Raptor Ridge, the one we'll be using starts at Arroyo Park and uses a 7.6 mile loop with 1600 feet of elevation gain. The hike is made up of good trails, rough trails, old roads, and anything else you can imagine - it's got a bit of everything. There's a nice viewpoint at the top on some rocks, where we'll stop for lunch/snacks/pictures.
Stamina:
The trail is moderately steep with some rocky/loose sections and appropriate shoes are required and poles are encouraged if in doubt. We'll be hiking at a steady pace, this isn't a race, after all!
Click here for WTA info on the trail.
Notes:
- No parking pass is required
- There are no bathrooms anywhere
- Dogs are welcome, but must stay leashed
- Parking is very limited at Arroyo Park, so carpooling is recommended (assuming we get a big turnout)
