Thursday hike of Hovander Homestead Park & Tennant Lake
Details
This is a very easy hike with little elevation gain and about 5.5 miles. We will go at an easy pace, 2 to 2.5 miles an hour. We will take stops along the way to view the lake and the homestead. We also walk along the Nooksack River a little way.
I have a four-hour window posted, but we should be finished long before that unless we take extra-long stops along the way.
Our route:

Discovery Pass required. There isn't a restroom at the trailhead, but there are at the lake and homestead.
Leave a message if you want to carpool from the Mount Vernon area.
DIRECTION:
From I-5, take Slater Road west. The parking lot will be on the right, just before the bridge over the Nooksack River.
