Monday hike of Lookout Mountain
Details
Let's enjoy some wonderful fall weather with a hike in the Lookout Mountain Forest Preserve, with its great views at the top of the surrounding hills.
This will be a semi-out and back hike of 6.3 miles and 1,300 feet of elevation gain, all on well-maintained trails. The top is a clear cut with territorial views, where we'll stop for a break.
Stamina:
The trail is moderately steep the entire way and we'll be hiking at a steady pace. This isn't a race, after all!
Notes:
- No parking pass is required.
- There are bathrooms at the trailhead.
- Dogs are welcome, but must stay leashed on the lower half of the hike.

You must sign-up and be on the “Going” list to participate.
If you sign-up for this event, out of respect for the group please make every effort to attend.
We will cancel for high winds or monsoon rains. We will hike sun, rain, snow, or sleet.
