Hello and welcome to Amber Valley Friends, we look forward to meeting you!

If you are new to Meetup groups then it is relatively easy to get started.

Our annual membership fee is £5 per person. This helps cover the costs of running the group.
Please transfer £5 to:
Sort code: 07-09-76
Account number: 12887617
Account name: Carol Lemon
Reference: Please use your AVF member name
Once you've paid, there's nothing else you need to do. We'll check the payment against our membership register. The membership year runs annually from October. The £5 fee is therefore payable once per membership year.

Please note that you will become a member of Amber Valley Friends Meetup after we have received your payment of the annual membership fee.

Once you're confirmed as a member, set up your profile with a clear picture of yourself. That will help event hosts look out for you at their events, particularly if it is your first event. Fill in the questions on your profile, they can be useful as conversation starters!

Browse through our events, and if anything interests you then you can ask any questions you may have in the comments section of each individual event. The event host will then reply when they are able. These comments are visible to anyone in AVF, so if you have any particular questions you would rather were not public there is a facility to send private messages. The comments section is a good way to let people know it is your first event, and to get to know the other people who will be attending.

Once you are happy to get stuck in and start attending events, then just click on the RSVP button and your name is on the list! If you need to cancel attendance for any reason, then please do so as soon as possible as some events may have limited places.

Get stuck in, and enjoy making new friends. We hope to see you at an event soon!
