About us
Pedal assist. Emotional support motors. Totally legal.
We’re a relaxed group of Class 1 eMTB riders exploring legal Central Oregon trails at a social pace. This is not a race team, a Strava support group, or an audition for the Olympics.
If you like:
- more laps,
- less suffering,
- scenic rides,
- regrouping at intersections,
- and not being weird about bikes…
…you’ll probably fit right in.
What we ride
* BLUE Intermediate trails that are class 1 friendly
- Strictly Class 1 eMTBs only
(pedal assist, no throttle, legal trails only)
What we don’t do
- KOM drama
- gatekeeping
- e-moto nonsense
- leaving people behind
(except non-eBikes — karma) - arguing in parking lots about “real mountain biking”
If you arrive with a throttle bike, you may be asked to leave the battery at the trailhead and reflect on your choices.

Basically: pedal-assist mountain bikes, no throttle, 20 mph assist limit. Must be a real trail-capable eMTB — not a beach cruiser, commuter bike, or sketchy internet moped in a bike costume.
We are asking that tires be no wider than standard MTB sizes, ex: 1.95, 2.1, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.8. No fat tire bikes (over 3.0)
*for verification, you will be asked what make/model Class 1 eMTB you will be bringing to the ride, and we will verify class 1 status at the trail head.
Come ride.
Broken Top may be broken, but our spirits are moderately functional.
