Remember musical chairs? This is kind of like that, except nobody gets eliminated, nobody has to awkwardly compete for a seat, and the whole point is talking to people.

We’ll meet at Discovery Park for a relaxed park hang where people rotate into new small groups every 10 minutes. Each round will have one conversation card to guide the group, so you don’t have to rely on the usual “What do you do?” small talk.

The conversation cards will come from Questions for Humans: Friends Third Edition by Dr. John Delony — a deck of funny, ridiculous, thoughtful, and meaningful prompts designed to make it easier to laugh, connect, and learn something unexpected about the people around you.

Some questions are light. Some are weird. Some might actually make you think. All of them are meant to help get the conversation moving without making things feel forced.

How it works:

We’ll start with a casual check-in, then break into small groups. Every 10 minutes, we’ll shuffle into new groups with a new card. After a few rounds, we’ll leave time to hang out freely, reconnect with people you vibed with, or just enjoy the park.

Bring:

A chair or blanket
Water or something to drink
A snack if you want one
An open mind
A willingness to be a little social, a little curious, and maybe a little ridiculous

Come solo or bring a friend. You can always pass on a question. No pressure to be profound. Just show up, shuffle around, and meet some good humans.
