Coworking at a Campout: Paulina Lake

Coworking at a coffee shop? Nah. How about a lakeside campsite at Paulina Lake?

Trade the espresso hiss and the fight for the last outlet for crisp mountain air, a caldera lake, and Paulina Peak as your office view. Bring your laptop and your to-do list, along with the camp coffee and some good food.

This is a real work day, just with a much better backdrop. We'll set up a shared camp "office" with tables, chairs, and a pot of coffee on the stove.

What to bring

• Laptop plus a fully charged power bank or battery station
• Warm layers, a beanie, and gloves. We're at 6,300+ feet, and October mornings are cold
• Camp chair, water bottle, lunch, and snacks
• Headlamp and sleeping gear if you're staying overnight
