🥾🍂🍃 Get ready to enjoy an easy pace 4.5 mile hike while admiring the gorgeous fall foliage along the banks and canyon of the Deschutes River!
Our hike begins at the Sawyer Park parking lot. You’ll be able to see the Deschutes River far below as it makes a sweeping bend through a canyon with walls of volcanic rock.
Prominent Cascade peaks including Mt. Washington, Mt. Jefferson and Black Butte are visible from here. You’ll also be able to see across the river to the flat grasslands of Riley Ranch Nature Preserve.
There are a couple of areas with a bench to sit and enjoy the views.
